The Service Learning Student credential is designed to integrate community service with academic learning by engaging students in meaningful service experiences that address real community needs. The program fosters leadership, reflection, and civic responsibility while helping students connect classroom knowledge to real-world applications.

Earning Criteria

Engage in structured reflection activities, such as journals, discussions, or presentations, connecting service experiences to course concepts.

Submit final reflection to the instructor and the community partner, demonstrating what was learned through service and its impact on the community. The reflection must earn a grade of 70% or higher.

Present findings at the Honors, Service-Learning, Research Symposium at the end of the semester.

Apply classroom knowledge to real-world community needs through a service-learning project.
