Earning Criteria

• Earners must complete a minimum of 25 hours of personal and/or professional education and training, where issues or learning outcomes focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion topics. Earners are able to articulate a basic understanding of and commitment to DEI and apply it into their work.
• Earners have actively engaged in the pursuit of continued learning within the past two years, seeking out a mix of educational and training based opportunities. Earners actively engaged through attendance and/or participation as panelist/moderator at Merrimack’s Unity in Diversity Days events in Fall or Spring. Earners attend four Unity in Diversity Day sessions.
• Earners demonstrate ability to utilize resources and skills to help create visible advocacy for diversity, equity, and inclusion in various Merrimack spaces. Earners help foster an inclusive workplace and campus through shared learning with colleagues and community.
• Earners complete a diversity self-assessment and reflect on learning achievements, as well as gaps. Earners document knowledge and mastery of skills as it relates to themes of inclusive excellence, institutional access, and diversity leadership.
