Mellors Group - Operational Zone Supervisor Programme

This programme is aimed at experienced attraction operational personnel in the amusement industry who are ready to move into a supervisory management role. Covering all aspects of safety, regulations (ISO 17842, BS EN 13814 and HSG 175) and good practice in operations. This programme equips learners with effective coaching, communication, supervisory, management and leadership skills, enabling them to manage a group of Attendants and Operators across their nominated zone.

Earning Criteria

The learner has completed a course of classroom training focused on the core management and leadership principles involved with operating effectively in the role of Operational Zone Supervisor.

The learner has completed a formative assessment in the form of short answer questions, in which they have demonstrated sufficient knowledge to enable them to proceed to practical, ‘on the job’, training.

The learner has completed the Mellors Group three-stage practical training (instructed, observed and unassisted) designed to equip the learner with the knowledge and skill sets required in order to achieve the desired level of occupational competency.

The learner has completed a practical assessment comprising Instructed, observed, and unassisted formative assessment. The final assessment (workplace competence assessment) was summative in nature, comprising observation of practical application, simulation, and questioning, before being declared competent. The learner was assessed by a qualified 6317 workplace competence assessor.
