Explain the implications of bias and how it can negatively impact different aspects of organisational culture and processes. This learning outcome is covered in both sessions 1 and 2. Learners will explore the origins of bias and begin to raise their self-awareness, supporting them to understand the impact bias can have on their decision making. and how this influences others and the wider organisation. Demonstrate how to effectively conduct difficult conversations that support others to recognise when their biases and behaviours are unhelpful or potentially offensive to others. This learning outcome is covered mainly in the final session of the programme. Learners will work on how to approach difficult conversations around inclusion, focusing on communication skills to support positive interactions. Determine specific steps they will take to support and manage inclusivity in their organisation. This learning outcome is covered throughout the programme, being fully realised via the self-reflective final journal question, where, having completed the 3 sessions, learners will reflect on the specific actions they plan to take to manage a positive, inclusive culture in their organisation.
