Making Every Contact Count is an ILM Recognised programme of learning and assessment, created and delivered by Praeceptor Consulting for healthcare staff working with patients to maximise the impact of every contact with patients. The programme aims to develop confidence through use of motivational interviewing and communication skills to deliver meaningful interventions with patients.
Earning Criteria

Motivational Interviewing – This individual has gained skills in how to use motivational interviewing techniques and advanced communication skills to enhance the effectiveness of patient contact. They also know how to signpost patients to the correct service/intervention according to their needs.

Project Management – This individual has acquired basic project management skills, producing a project in their own area to promote a healthcare initiative. This includes the use of Gantt chart and communication tools.

This individual has completed an assessment that confirmed their knowledge and skills in Making Every Contact Matter.
