Coaching within Education is an ILM Recognised programme of learning, created and delivered by The Coaching Academy for coaches who want to operate within the Education field. The programme aims to develop knowledge and skills by focusing on the specialisms of coaching parents, young people, leaders and youth in transition.
Skills
Earning Criteria

Coaching Leaders. The individual understands what leaders in education want from coaching and gained a sound knowledge using coaching models that proactively support many of the challenges faced by leaders.

Coaching young people. The individual understands how working with young people and building trust may differ to working with adults. This indivdual is clear on what ethical practice looks like when working with young people and the requirements around confidentiality.

Parent and Family coaching. This individual has been introduced to a range of exercises to create a unique parent coaching workshop. They understand how to coach parents in a supportive manner to improve relationships between parent and child.

Youth in transition. The individual can help empower a young person to make decisions with confidence. Identifying strengths to equip them with life-long skills.

Coaching in school. This individual understands cultures within school communities and the link between 'well' staff and 'thriving students'. They are able to apply 'skill/will matrix process' and are able to connect with their clients intrinsic and extrinsic motivations.
Standards
The programme falls within the ILM Footprint of Leadership, Management, Coaching, Mentoring and Enterprise. It is well structured with appropriate governance and management to deliver consistently high-quality learning outcomes and objectives. Learners are fully supported and receive recognition for their achievement.
