Earning Criteria

• This person has successfully demonstrated all of the knowledge and practical competencies required to achieve the Skills Proficiency Certificate in Basic Carpentry.
• They can maintain safe working conditions, adopt safe procedures for themselves and others, can use hand and power tools. They can maintain and sharpen tools and select them in a correct and safe manner for the job in hand. They can also cut joints and form components to make products out of solid wood and composite materials.
