The programme is for anyone involved in Low Voltage electrical systems Operation & Maintenance who is selected to become an Authorised Person. It teaches safe behaviour when working with multiple source Low Voltage systems and provides assessed practical procedures based on taught knowledge topics.

Earning Criteria

The individual has been formally assessed in three main parameters. 1,on the completion of Switching Schedules and Permit to Work safety documents. 2, by question paper to ensure recall of pertinent information and technical knowledge. 3, Their attitude and behaviour during the activates of switching and document completion.

The individual has attended classroom sessions including Dangers of Electricity, arc flash, Legislation and Safe Systems of Work, low Voltage Equipment, Distribution Systems, Protection Systems and Completion of Safety Documents. They also successfully completed practice scenarios writing safety documents and completing switching to gain experience.. This will require the use of knowledge gained in the classroom sessions.
