Earning Criteria

Develop interactions with advice and guidance clients. The learner can enable clients to explore their issues and sustain interactions with clients. They are also able to bring interactions to a close.

Manage personal case load. This learner can maintain case notes and is able to review personal case load. They also understand factors that affect case loads.

Evaluate and develop own contribution to the service. The learner understands the process of evaluating practice and is able to carry out evaluation of practice and identify development objectives.

Operate within networks. The learner is able to identify and access networks which could benefit the service and to maintain memberships of networks as well as exchange information within networks.

Understand importance of legislation and procedures. The learner understands legislation and codes of practice which impact on their role, how to deal with urgent situations, the actual or potential effect of own values, beliefs, attitudes and behaviours when working and why the effectiveness of methods may vary depending upon the situation and clients involved. They are able to record contacts, interactions, agreements, and provision of information.
