Earning Criteria

Learners will have completed the following mandatory units Engineering health and safety Engineering principles Principles of fabrication They will also take optional units, choosing from a range that includes Manual metal arc welding, MIG welding, TIG welding, Platework fabrication, Sheet metalwork fabrication, Pattern development for fabrication and Pipe and tube fabrication

They are able to:

Understand compliance with statutory health and safety regulations and organisational requirements

Know how to implement accident and emergency procedures

Understand safe working practices and procedures

Know how to interpret engineering information
