This occupational qualification is for learners who want to get into a job through an apprenticeship, develop on the job or move onto the next job in an adult care health or social setting in England. The qualification covers a range of knowledge and skills and allows learners to complete a range of mandatory and optional units to support their role in delivering care and support in adult care. Earning Criteria

To achieve the Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (Adults) for England (4222-21), Learners must achieve a minimum of 46 credits. To do this they must achieve:
Generic Pathway: 24 credits from the mandatory units in Group A, a minimum of 2 credits and a maximum of 7 credits from the optional units in Group B, at least 15 credits from the optional units in Group C
Dementia Pathway: 24 credits from the mandatory units in Group A, a minimum of 2 credits and a maximum of 7 credits from the optional units in Group B but must complete : DEM 201 Dementia Awareness, at least 15 credits from the optional units in Group C but one of the following must be completed: DEM 204, DEM,209, DEM 210 or DEM 211
Adults with Learning Disabilities Pathway: 24 credits from the mandatory units in Group A, a minimum of 2 credits and a maximum of 7 credits from the optional units in Group B but must complete : LD 201 Understand the context of supporting and individual with learning disabilities, at least 15 credits from the optional units in Group C but one of the following must be completed: LD 202, LD 203.
