Earning Criteria

• This learner has completed the following mandatory units: 101 Introduction to the hair and beauty sector; 102 Presenting a professional image in a salon; 113 Follow health and safety in the salon; 115 Working with others in the hair and beauty sector
• As this qualification contains a range of optional units, this person has completed a minimum of 31 credits from the following optional units available for each pathway as shown below:
• Pathway 1 - Hairdressing - 31 credits from the following optional units: Shampoo & Conditioning; Hair plaiting; Create an image using colour for the hair & beauty sector; Hand care; Styling a women's hair; Styling men's hair; Plaiting & twisting hair; Colour hair using temporary colour; Create a hair & beauty image; Salon reception duties; The art of dressing hair; The art of colouring hair.
• Pathway 2 - Beauty Therapy - 32  credits from the following optional units:  Skin care; Hand care; Basic make-up application; Themed face painting; Nail art application; Providing basic manicure treatments; Providing basic pedicure treatments; Create a hair & beauty image; Salon reception duties; The art of photographic make-up; Provide nail art.
• Pathway 3 - Hairdressing &Beauty Therapy - 31 credits from the following optional units: Shampoo & Condition; Hair plaiting; Create image using colour; Skin &  Hand care; Styling women's & men's hair; Plaiting & twisting hair; Basic make-up application; Themed face painting; Nail art application; Providing basic manicure & pedicure treatments; Colour hair using temporary colour; Create a hair & beauty image; Reception duties; Dress Hair; Art of photographic make-up & hair colouring; Nail art.
• Pathway 4 - Barbering - 31 credits from the following optional units: Create an image using colour for the hair & beauty sector; Skin care; Hand care; Styling men's hair; Themed face painting; Colour hair using temporary colour; Create a hair & beauty image; Salon reception duties; The art of colouring hair
