This individual has achieved unit 405 Leading child-centred practice. They are able to: support learners to develop the knowledge and understanding needed to lead child-centred practice For the purpose of this unit “Lead” refers to those with a delegated case load or group programme, working autonomously within agreed protocols. This could be for those working 1:1 or in a group capacity.

This individual has achieved unit 415 Study skills. They are able to: to understand the use and application of study skills, and to apply these to support their work. Understand tools and techniques to develop learning and study skills. Use research evidence from a review of published information.

This individual has achieved unit 416 Working with families and carers to develop parenting skills. They are able to: support learners with the specialist knowledge and skills needed to work with families/carers to develop parenting skills. For the purpose of this unit families/carers refers to those with whom the child/children regularly live or has contact.

This individual has achieved unit 417 Working with Children with Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN). They are able to: provide learners with the knowledge and skills required to effectively advise and support colleagues to identify and work with children with speech, language and communication needs (SLCN). Learners will lead on the development of a positive communication environment, and engage with family/carers to support the development of children with SLCN.
