This individual has achieved unit 405 Leading child-centred practice. They are able to: support learners to develop the knowledge and understanding needed to lead child-centred practice for the purpose of this unit “Lead” refers to those with a delegated case load or group programme, working autonomously within agreed protocols. This could be for those working 1:1 or in a group capacity.

This individual has achieved unit 406 Theoretical frameworks for leadership and management. They are able to: Understand theoretical approaches to leadership, management, innovation and change. introduce learners to a range of theoretical frameworks, and to understand how these frameworks can be used to support innovation, change and quality improvement within the leadership and management of children’s care settings.

This individual has achieved unit 407 Understand how to lead and manage effective team performance. They are able to: provide learners with an introduction to leading and managing effective team performance; including the importance of values-based recruitment and induction.
