Students who earn this certificate can synthesize an effective online teaching and learning environment based on current research, recent innovative ideas, and best practices. They will assess characteristics of online learners and components of an online teaching & learning environment and apply current teaching and learning tools and technologies to an online learning environment.

Earning Criteria

The student must pass with a C or better in each course: OTL 601 or 851, OTL 603 or 853, OTL 608, OTL 681 and OTL 682.

Overall GPA in the 5 courses must be a 3.0

Any approved course with an In-Progress Grade (ie. I or RD) will not be counted until a passing final grade is posted.
